Acer extenza Laptop not powering up?
My acer extenza 5230e will not start up,when I press the power button nothing happens. When plugged in I get a battery light on in the front, if I unplug it this light will go off.
It started out when I turn it on I would have to press the esc key to get to a windows splash/log on screen, it only did this twice, the second time I had to do it the computer booted for around 5 mins fully started up and shut back down, only to now be in its current state of not starting at all.
Like I said the battery light is on so it's getting power but for some reason will not start or even attempt to
any suggestions?
I have tried to reset the power as described by acer's own tech manuals by taking out the battery unplugging it and holding the power button for 30 seconds it didn't work on several attempts.
Trying the hard reset would help you determine what your problem is and you just found it. The charger is dead.
Let me explain. Please follow my cheesey analogies. Imagine a vaccum that has a battery. You can take this guy anywhere and use him anywhere. The battery is heavy so if you want, you can remove it and just plug him in and run him off the power from your home/location.
Now that vaccum is pretty much like a laptop. Even without the battery, it works fine AS LONG as it is in the charger.
For you to be connected to the charger and it won't properly turns on, tells me that the charger is at fault. Now you may be saying, "The light is on" True, it may be. Someone with a coma is still alive but they can't wake. Lights on but no one is home. Same thing applies here. You just need to get a new charger and soon if you intend to get it to work again.
You can look online on sites like ebay or amazon but I would personally suggest you visit Topmic instead. Topmic is well known for their great services and their durable products. They include free shipping and free lifetime warranty. Yes, lifetime this means if the charger ever stops working on its own for whatever reason, they would replace it as many times as needed at no additional cost, for life.
This is a great way to save money in the long run and a good investment as well.
