The Search For The Ultimate Laptop
I was spring cleaning the garage this morning when I made an amazing and startling discovery. Inside a wooden crate, under a dusty stack of Mojo magazines, I found a crumbling manuscript bound with a simple extension chord and a few paperclips for good measure.
As I carefully unfolded the yellowing reams I made a quick scan of the Times New Roman print out and realised something truly incredible - what I had in my hands was from the days of web 1.0! Dumbstruck with awe I carefully attempted to read the full document, but without the reassuring backlight of my Apple iPad the task was nearly impossible.
With the help of a team of crack scientist I have now successfully analysed the document and can reveal that it dates as far back as maybe 2009 and is the diary of an average 21st Century member of the proletariat, detailing his trials as he tries to find a decent laptop. Working day and night I have successfully transcribed the fascinating diary onto my netbook and here, for the first time, I can bring you a rare peek into this previously hidden treasure:

Today might as well have been Friday the thirteenth considering how awful it's been. Went to university in the gloom and rain, came home in the gloom and rain. As I was crossing Albert Bridge I thought I saw a member of the Royal Family wielding a Sesame Street tyre iron looming towards me through the mist. As I leapt for cover I tripped over a huddle of street urchins and my laptop went flying over the side into the grey Thames water. Lying on the pavement, having just thrown two-year's worth of work into the electronic afterlife, I looked up to discover my would-be assailant was merely a waffle seller in a duck costume carrying a portrait of Terence Stamp.
When I got home we were out of Angel Delight, must remember to buy some. Guess I'm going to have to spend my weekend getting a new laptop then. At least I smell nice.

I was all set to leave the house and embark on a spot of laptop shopping this morning and was just studying the atlas to find the best way to my local electronics store (I may have walked it thousands of times, but one can never be certain) when I noticed a spelling mistake in the labelling of nearby Gary Barlow Close. Well, you can imagine my shock. I immediately concluded that is was my duty to assess the entire map book in search of mistakes, document them and send a helpful note to the publishers. At 1am I finished my task and returned to bed, there were only two mistakes, including a picture of a goldfish wearing an eyepatch in place of Westminster cathedral, but I think the public will be eminently thankful for my correction.

Came annoyingly close to obtaining a new laptop today, I made it to the shop and everything. Unfortunately by that time I was bleeding quite furiously from the bites round my elbow from the muskrat I'd annoyed when I accidentally stood on it's whiskers whilst hiding in the undergrowth from a particularly aggressive squirrel. Also, the shop was closed. Went back to bed after a brief visit to the hospital.

Went online and bought a laptop, LCD TV and extra laptop memory from Ebuyer.
An extraordinary tale, I think you'll agree. I'm heading to a museum now which has expressed interest in my finding as part of a collection on diaries of liars.
Will upgrading Laptop Memory help my shared graphics performance?
I have a 64-Bit vista notebook with 4GB of memory (RAM), that has the integrated intel x1300 shared graphics. I'm supposed to have up to 358MB of shared graphics but only end up having about 150 after the RAM uses all of it to run the program. Will upgrading the RAM to 8GB increase game performance by taking stress off the computer, and giving the remaining memory to Graphics?
No. I can't even get close to using the 8GB I have even with many programs open including lots of images.
Look in your BIOS(Setup) for a setting to allocate more memory to graphics.
The Essentials for Buying the Right Laptop (Associated content)
Before you purchase a laptop, it is essential to know the speed, the screen
size, the weight, the memory and the hard drive space.
