(I returned it to Greatest Purchase.) I received this Vizio from Amazon yesterday, and it can be what I was expecting an HDTV to appear like. The picture is lovely, and steady across the panel. The colours are wonderful and also the blacks are incredible. I used CNET's calibration settings with a couple of adjustments because we've a large window that brightens the area. While the Samsung had terrible glare, VIZIO XVT473SV has a great matte finish that does great. I cannot comment on sound due to the fact I use it with my Sony 7.1 receiver through HDMI. (That functions fantastic as well.) And with all the firmware update, it operates with ARC so world wide web apps send sound back by way of HDMI to the receiver.
The complaints I read from reviewers were viewing angles and halo impact because of the LED nearby dimming. No way. The viewing angle is 1000% far better than the Samsung, and final evening I tested the halo effect. On an all black screen with only words within the middle, I could only see halo when I took an extreme angle close up. Otherwise, it looked great.
The world wide web apps work wonderful. (I do wish they'd add youtube, but don't know how much I'd use it anyway.) I can't speak to wireless, result in my router sits correct on the Tv stand and I just wired with ethernet. I really like the remote, but wish I could customize the settings for my Dish Network receiver and AV receiver much more. It'll control them, but I'd like to manage to switch inputs, and so forth. on my receiver. I have not figured out a method to make that happen. But I really like the keyboard along with the bluetooth connection.
