Speedy, Flexible, And Reliable - The HP 2300 Printer Series
The HP LaserJet 2300 Printer is a black-and-white printer using a laser technology. It has a fast processor and the highest quality HP LaserJet 2300 compatible toner that allows for quick and easy churning out of professional-looking documents. Multiple connectivity options make this unit ideal for a business environment or a small workgroup. Meeting productivity needs is the high input media capacity that's capable of being upgraded.
There's a 266 MHz processor within its core, able to yield 25 ppm (page per minute) in monochrome, using best quality mode. An impressive 64 MB memory installed upon the unit's purchase can be further expanded to a staggering 304 MB. Such is possible with the total of 3 available DIMM slots (100 pins) fitted onto its design.
A print resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dots per inch allows for producing monochrome printouts that are crisp, clean and readable. No matter if the document you need contains text, graphics or a combination of both, Hewlett Packard has incorporated some technologies to enhance output quality. Such include the HP ProRes 1200 and the HP FastRes 1200. And with the Ultraprecise HP cartridges innovation, printer reliability is enhanced with the use of recommended media products from HP.
More about media, the 2300 can work with a variety of media kinds and sizes. Supported media include regular paper, coated, recycled, transparencies, envelopes, cardstocks and labels. Supported sizes include legal, letter, executive, or anywhere from 3" x 5" to a maximum of 8.5" x 14". There are a couple of media input trays available: a 250-sheet tray and a 100-sheet priority tray. However, it's possible to increase media handling capacity up to 850 sheets with an optional tray.
Regarding available connectivity options, this unit can be used with a single computer unit or a small workgroup hassle-free. There's a USB 1.1 port for use with a USB-compatible computer. There's also a parallel IEEE 1284 ECP-compliant port for attachment to a network. Some other optional interfaces are available to make operation easier and flexible. This includes Jetdirect internal print servers, LocalTalk connectivity, etc.
When not in use, the 2300 allows for conservation of energy as it comes with a power-saving mode. Reducing warm-up time is done by the incorporated Instant-On technology, which churns out the first page in as little as 10 seconds. Language emulators utilized include PCL 6,PCL 5E and PostScript 3. There's also an embedded internet server that makes it possible for minimal operator intervention in managing the consumables.
This unit comes with a body which measures 16.2 inches x 17.7 inches x 10.2 inches (w x d x h) and has a weight of 31.3 pounds. The front panel boasts of a two-liner graphical LCD screen which displays printing status. Additionally, with an internet hookup available, troubleshooting and maintenance can be done efficiently. Recommended monthly volume is set by the manufacturer at 50,000 pages.
This device also comes with a duplex unit for two-sided printing and professional-grade HP 2300L toner.
